Social Media Manager

The Beastwang group is currently seeking a Social Media Manager with dance music knowledge, community building and social media management expertise to join our growing marketing team at the Beastwang HQ in Leicester. 

In this role, you will be in charge of managing the growth of all group brands online communities and spearheading their growth. You will collaborate closely with the Managing Director, Nico Singh and the Marketing Manager to effectively communicate the narrative of these company brands.

The person who will fulfill this role should be a self-starter with high quality copy writing skills. Additionally, understand the importance of quality control when it comes to design on social media. This should lead to being at the forefront of delivering engaging content for the community you will be growing. 

Brands we look after:

  • Beastwang [Multi-Genre Bass Music] - High Energy and big room ‘in your face’ bass music. Hitting the balance of underground and accessible is this brand's ethos. Drum & Bass / Garage & Bass are the main genres. Aside from artists and the music we like to make an emphasis on the raver and making a point of capturing the energy they bring at our events. 

  • Doppler Studio & Radio [Raw/Authentic Underground Sounds] - Small, intimate club culture. House, techno and alternative bass music genres are represented at all events at the club & radio. Additionally representing and archiving Leicester dance music history and key figures is something we want to explore. Having a knowledge of dance music community radio, will also be a benefit. 

  • Wang Records - [Alternative Bass / Dance Music] - Not in your face bass music (if that even makes sense) - More soulful, melodic and alternative bass music genres. 90% of our output has been UKG but we are certainly not limited to. We would like to explore any genres within our community's interest. Which we believe is not being tied to one thing. UKG, house, techno, jungle, breaks, funky.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all social media, focusing on Instagram and TikTok, tailoring content to suit each platform.

  • Research music content and recycle content to build community.

  • Understanding community building and engagement directly with audiences

  • Build genuine relationships with artists and profiles across different social media platforms.

  • Oversee, plan, and create compelling multimedia content across various platforms, either personally or by effectively outsourcing tasks.

  • Utilize analytics platforms to monitor and analyze social media performance, regularly reporting findings to the broader team.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and music teams to generate fresh marketing concepts and ensure brand consistency.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and organic social media strategies

Person Specification

  • Strong team player with exceptional communication skills.

  • Great copywriting skills that match the brand's tone of voice. 

  • Excellent understanding of various social media platforms, tools, and current trends.

  • Ability to be self-motivated as we’re a small team. 

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, a valuable asset for creating engaging content (not essential if you use other tools and get the same output of what we require)
